What is Intermediate Rent?

Intermediate Rent is around 20% of what you would be charged if you rented through private landlord. It’s available through SNG to key workers and others finding it hard to afford market rent prices in London and Hertfordshire.

Our Intermediate Rent homes are in great locations like Hackney, Islington and Harrow.

What kind of homes do we offer?

We have a range of different homes available including studios, one, two and three bedroom flats and our shared apartments.

Studios and apartments

We offer modern self-contained studios and apartments.

Shared apartments

We offer quality rooms with or without en-suite bathrooms where your rent also includes council tax and utility bills.

These are suitable for:

Hospital workers
Graduates and post-grad students
Monday to Friday lets
Short lets
Low-income workers
People new to London.

Is Intermediate Rent for me?

To be eligible for a home, you must:

Be working
Have a gross household income of less than £66,000 per annum to rent a shared apartment, studio, one or two bedroom home
Have a gross household income of no more than £80,000 per annum to rent a three or more bedroom home
Be able to afford 80 per cent of the local market rent without assistance, e.g. Housing Benefit.

For some developments, there may be other criteria such as the borough or council area you currently live or work in.

Before you rent a home with us, we will ask you to complete a financial assessment.

For employers, we offer extended leases to organisations, so they know they will always have quality affordable accommodation available for their employees when required.

We offer employers flexibility as properties can be managed by your organisation, with repairs service, maintenance and cleaning still included, or by us at SNG. We offer organisations short-term bed spaces, which is cheaper than putting employees in hotels for events, conferences, and secondments.
